We LITERALLY are so in love with our baby girl. We can’t stop staring at her and the days feel like they’re flying by.

With the boys, I think the combination of being first-time parents, the fact that there were TWO of them, and their preemie status all contributed to our extra worries, overwhelm, and exhaustion, leaving us little energy to enjoy that beginning stage as much as we are enjoying it now.

Here we are with baby girl and I am trying my hardest to soak in every moment with her. We know all too well that these days are fleeting and she will never be as young as she is today! We look at how grown the boys are and can’t believe how fast time flew. So no matter how exhausted we are (oh boy are we drained) or how challenging it is to juggle three kids, we always take the time to just breathe in the moment and embrace everything about it.

Smooth and healthy pregnancy + delivery

I can’t believe I’m saying this. But everything from pregnancy & delivery, and now at postpartum went/is going SO WELL. I wish I had time to write about each.

What I will say is that we are incredibly grateful for this smooth and healthy experience, and now baby girl is just growing so beautifully. I mean hubby and I are literally looking at each other in shock at how fast time is whizzing by and that we are actually LOVING this newborn stage!

How are the boys adjusting?

They definitely love their new baby sister. Initially, they here HYSTERICAL when she cried, even imitating her with each cry she let out! They are so sweet to look for her each morning and right when they get home from preschool.

Jer loves to hold her. He asks, “Can I hab (have) it?” Then he hold her like a sweet big brother, but is quick to remove his hands from under her and say, “I’m done!”

Adrian loves to stare and observe her, but he has yet to hold her! He giggles when she makes noises, but just likes watching her from afar.

Baby’s First Two Weeks

I can’t even comprehend how amazing she is. Here’s just a brain dump of all the things we love about her:

  • She makes the most adorable faces!!! (They could also be gas, but oh well!)
  • She also makes the cutest noises! Purrs, barks, and tiny sighs.
  • She is such a sweet baby – only crying to be fed or changed. (I do believe this is a function of the first two weeks. Things could easily take a 360 on us next week!)
  • She is so cuddly! Although she is super tiny and fragile. Resting her on my chest while reclined on our sofa is my favorite.
  • She has SO MUCH HAIR! Oh my goodness it’s so dark and there’s the tiniest wave in it. I’m hoping it’s thick, luscious, and wavy!!!
  • She pooped SO MUCH in that first week. I think we went through an entire pack of diapers. =P

That’s all for now, folks! I’m hoping to pop back in right away because the boys turn FOUR next week! Holy cow!

And then there were five

Surprise!!! We’re expecting Baby #3 in July 2017. A girl! ❤

Our baby boys will be kuyas (big brothers) and we are over the moon.

I have so much to catch up on here on the blog. Over a YEAR’S worth! We celebrated five years of marriage, we traveled to DC and Hawaii, the boys turned 3, they started PRESCHOOL (what?!), I really picked up speed with teaching calligraphy, and life is just flying by. Can’t wait to share more!

Big boys now

Hello there! Just a quick note to show you how big our boys are now!

As you can imagine, our hands have been very full these past few months. They’ve been potty training (going well!), seeing new places, and basically taking charge of our house. Most of the time, it’s loud, it’s messy, and it’s crazy, but these boys are so hilarious and sweet that we just love life right now.

Hoping to share an update each weekend starting with today. See you next time!

Halloween 2015: Two little cows

deleon twins halloween 2015

What does the cow say? Moooooooooooo!

The boys were the cutest cows ever for Halloween this year. They did an amazing job trick-or-treating! After the first house, they totally got into the groove.

Adrian even banged on a door that was slightly cracked open saying, “Open! Open!”

And after we would finish getting candy, Adrian would say, “Again! Again!”

One of the best parts was watching the boys each carry their own buckets while holding our hands and walking down the sidewalks. They must have been really fascinated with going out at night when it is so dark.

Lots of fun in my parent’s neighborhood for Halloween this year. But sorry, boys. No candy until you’re TEN. (You think I’m joking).

Where did our babies go? A quick update before they turn TWO.

Well, hello! It’s been way too long since I’ve posted here. Is anyone still out there?

With literally thousands of photos and videos between me and Jing, there is no way I could update this blog with everything we’ve been up to in the past several weeks. Here are a few of the boys at the park recently.

The boys are growing like weeds. They talk, sing, dance, laugh, play, run, and eat so much! It’s heartbreaking knowing we cannot possibly take a photo or video of every hilarious, witty, smart, and sweet thing they do. But we are living life and enjoying every minute of it.

I’ve said it a thousand times and I’ll say it before: The days are long, but the years are short. Many days can feel like an upward battle. The morning rush to get the boys ready, fed, and changed for day care. The commute to work. The long 9 hours at our office cubicles. The dash to daycare and back home, dinner-baths-playtime-bedtime. Whew! Things are never dull around our household.

I’ll be sure to put out a two-year update next week. I NEED to put out a two-year update next week.

Can you believe it? They’re turning two.

Our little babies have made it around the sun twice. It’s incredible.

Married life, four years later

Hooray for another year! Today marks our four year wedding anniversary. Four years of marriage and two kiddos later… we couldn’t be more blessed, happy… or exhausted!

Just wanted to share some memories of our special day because we can’t help but love to relive it as much as possible. It’s been a crazy ride since and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
