This morning I felt three different sets of bubbles!!! If you don’t know what that refers to, it is one of the feelings you get when you feel the baby moving! The first time I felt it, it seemed like two tiny bubbles. Second, I felt a sort of larger bubble moving around. Third, I definitely felt a stream of bubbles, almost like fizzing from a soda pop. From the different resources I’ve been reading and wonderful moms with whom I’ve been talking to, the first signs of movement felt can resemble bubbles, tapping, or a flutter. In the past few days, it was very hard to distinguish between other things (gas) and baby movement. This morning, I am almost positive it is baby movement. Yay!
I updated my Baby Story page. Hope you like it 🙂
I feel like a ton of my posts are always labeled “RECAP,” but as I always say, better late than never! In some attempted order, here are some of the highlights in my life during the past 3+ weeks. It’s a long post, but I promise it’s filled with awesome pictures!
I was a bridesmaid for the first time! It was an honor standing by a long-time friend’s side on her special day… This doll sang at MY wedding! It’s so awesome that we were part of each other’s weddings.
My first henna tattoo (I got one on my shoulder, too):
The Big Day:
Girls’ Day this month was a-w-e-s-o-m-e! Bagels & boba (yes, boba for breakfast!!!), shopping, mani/pedis, & dinner. These lovely ladies are too much fun to be around.
POSH BAGEL – PLEASE, OH PLEASE COME TO ELK GROVE ASAP!!!!!! WE NEEEEEEED YOU!!!!!!!
Baptism for the sweet Hannah Lei! What a wonderful way to celebrate Easter Sunday not only by attending a beautiful ceremony by the very priest who married us, but also witnessing him baptize this cutie-patootie!!! Check out Hannah’s mommy’s blog HERE!
We also got to hang out with Hannah’s older cousin, SJ. Check out her “sassy pose!”
If you didn’t know, I am a Cali Girl and proud of it!!! I saw this sign below at a Togo’s one day. Togo’s is my favorite sandwich shop. If you want to have the best combo ever, you must get a hot pastrami sandwich + broccoli cheddar soup + Asian chicken salad. It’s so delicious that I somehow always forget to get ice cream even though Baskin Robbins is in the same store. Thanks to my hubby for fulfilling this craving 🙂
A darling friend of mine turned the big 4-0 earlier in March and she doesn’t look a day over 30. I actually made these cake pops to help celebrate this wonderful milestone at her awesome house party. To end her birthday weekend on a sweet note, she invited a select few friends for brunch at Bistro Michel. I didn’t know about this place even though my old parking garage for work is right across the street! I had the eggs benedict (my mission is to try it at every breakfast spot I know because I personally think nothing compares to Tower Café’s eggs benedict) and the hubby had the Monte Cristo. YUM! We always share, so it was perfect that we could half each entrée and try two different things.
MJCC knows how to (house) par-tay!!!
Went to the Old Spaghetti Factory last week. We were there actually for the reception of the funeral of Jing’s cousin’s grandmother. She was a sweet woman and I’m so thankful to have known her and to be able to celebrate her life. I love going to OSF and amazingly my favorite dish was one of the entrees we got to choose from! Chicken marsala! And of course you’ve gotta have the spumoni!
