Three Years Since “I Do”

Three years ago on this day, we tied the knot.

It was a gorgeous day and an even more beautiful ceremony and reception.

To this very day – and I’m sure for a lot longer – we reminisce and relive that special day in our lives.

We talk about how much fun we had and how everything turned out so wonderfully and how our hard work planning paid off.

We occasionally watch our amazing wedding video to remember all the action and the sounds of the night.

We look at pictures that captured the sweetest moments that took place, the vibrant colors of the cake and decor, and the love we felt from our guests.

Six years later and we’re almost there!

Cheers to a happy 6 years of happiness, memories, and love!

Six years ago today, my husband asked me to be his girlfriend. He lived on the other side of the country at that time. Then he made the move to the west coast (the best coast). We grew in our relationship, learning to love and laugh with each other every day. It’s amazing how much time has passed and yet I feel like it was only yesterday. Here are some of the milestones of our life together: Love Story.

Today, it’s amazing that we’re expecting two little boys in just a matter of weeks! Specifically, we were told at our last appointment that we could expect them in as little as two, yes TWO, weeks, but that they could easily stay cooking for a little longer. After all, I’ve gone this far keeping them in the oven despite all of the challenges we’ve faced in the past 10 weeks.

My emotions are all over the place right now – happy, excited, nervous, anxious… I sort of just rotate through all of these emotions at the same time I’m experiencing a lot of physically – fatigue, achiness, sleepiness… Most of all, it’s starting to hit me. Soon my baby boys will be out of my belly and no longer with me all the time! Yes, they will be right there in front of me or in my arms, but their lives will have begun and I will truly experience what it’s like to be a parent.

Some of the things I’m really anxious about are labor & delivery, the changes our household and relationship will go through, and taking care of not only one, but two newborns (FYI, neither my husband nor myself have changed a diaper before). It has helped a lot to talk with friends and family who have gone through pregnancy and parenthood. I keep reminding myself that my mom, my grandmothers, and all other mothers (and fathers, too) have gone through the same anxiety and excitement and made it just fine!

Stay tuned! The big day is almost here!!! 🙂
